When you use a picture from google, you go to see if it’s copyright or not copyright. If it’s copyright you’re not allowed to use it, but if it’s not, you’re allowed to use it. However, if it’s copyright you can put in credits. Just remember to put the right credits. For example:

You raise an important issue but you not quite got the facts right. If something is copyright – you cannot use it (unless you go to the person or organisation and ask for specific permission)
You can use something if they have shared it with a Creative Commons licence but as you said you still should give credit in this case.
